Founder’s Story
I started BackNTouch because I want to provide a personalized solution for connecting adults who face changes, challenges, or losses later in life. Greater human connection builds an added level of resiliency.
When I was 19 years old, my Father was admitted to the hospital for the first time in his life. Although he was cognitively fit, he had to spend more time at home because of his chronic condition. I watched a respected, charismatic extrovert isolate himself and lose connection with his community.
As a Gerontologist, I know that my Dad’s experience would have been different if we knew back then what we know now about staying socially connected and living a longevity lifestyle long before aging losses or diseases manifest.
Our commitment at BackNTouch is to connect adults so that they can find new meaning and new joy in their encore years when facing change of any kind. Social connection leads to a healthier resiliency against disease and disorders commonly attributed to mature adults.
